    Table references (Word 2002)

I'm working on a document with various tables in it which are populated using VBA from Access. Not all tables are populated each time - it depends on the data passed to the VBA code.

What I'd like to know is whether there is a way to identify the tables apart from the number so that the code can easily pick them up. I've looked through the help, but I can't find anything.

Your help is appreciated as always

    Nick

You could create a bookmark with a meaningful name for each table. You can then refer to (for example)

    ActiveDocument.Bookmarks("ProductsTable").Range.Ta bles(1)

That is a great idea & solves the problem at a stroke.

    Thanks for that
