    not enough system resources to display completly (Excel 2000)

    Hello,

    I was wondering if someone could tell me why i get the message "Not enougn system resources to display completly in excel when I am building a worksheet with alsorts of goodies like combo boxs and such?

    and how can I prevent or stop this?

    It means that your system does not have enough resources to display everything <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
    It might help if you close all other applications. If your PC has a limited amount of RAM memory, it might help to get more. But, unfortunately, Excel 2000 cannot use unlimited memory. See Excel Pages - Memory & Limits.

    ok, well this might not be the best form to ask but ill try, what would be the optimal system to run excel to its fullest ability all the time no matter the size of the workbook? I am going to go shopping

    1 mb of memory do they make that?

    You might check out "Not Enough System Resources" with Controls on Zoomed Sheets. It refers to XL97 but it might still be related to the ZOOM.

    Get Office 2003, and a PC with at least 1 GB of memory. (Sorry, wrote 1 MB originally <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15>)

    You're correct, 1 MB was a mistake. I meant 1 GB indeed.
