    Chart results double (2003 SP1)

    I've created a relatively simple stacked column chart from a query. This query has only 7 fields;
    Description, Total (weight), & 5 weight fields for different processes.

    The results match those in one of the many spreadsheets this is going to replace. But when the chart displays, all of the results are doubled i.e. the 1st record had about 14,000+ in the Total bar yet the query has 70810.

    I wondered if the charting module was 'summing' the [process] fields with the [total] field again.

    Anybody know how best to avoid this?

    TIA

    Getting a chart to work exactly the way you want in Access is tricky, but it can be done. Check the row source of the chart control. Depending on the situation, it may not need to be a crosstab query or even a totals query. Without knowing the details, it's hard to give more specific advice.

    Thank you Hans. I just figured out the problem; I included the Total of the process fields when I only needed that one for sorting. Doh!
