Automatically enter blank row every other row (2003)

I need to insert a blank row after every other row in a spreadsheet of data. Is there an easy way to do this. The end result will be data in every other row.

Thanks.

The following should do what you want.

Sub Macro1()
Dim endrow
Dim i
ActiveCell.SpecialCells(xlLastCell).Select
endrow = Selection.Row

For i = endrow To 2 Step -1
Cells(i, 1).EntireRow.Select
Selection.Insert Shift:=xlDown
Next
End Sub

Insert an empty column on the left side of the worksheet. In the top row of this column enter a 1. Click on the cell with the one in it to select it. Now scroll down to the last row where you want the blank rows inserted. Hold down shift and click in the cell in the last row with data. That should select all cells in the inserted column from the one with the 1 in it down to the last row with data. In the Edit menu click on fil and then in the fly out menu click on Series. Click on OK in the dialog box. You should now have all of the rows sequentially numbered. While the numbered cells are still selected, click on Copy in the Edit menu. Click on the first cell after the cells with the numbers in them to select it and them click on Paste in the Edit menu. Now sort the sheet on the column with the numbers. You should now have a blank row (except for the numbered column) every other row. You can now delete the column with the numbers.
