    Comments on My Computer (XP sp2)

    I notice that there is a coments column when "My Computer" is opened.

    Can anyone tell me how to add these comments?

    You can add comments to a file: right-click the file in Windows Explorer/My Computer, select Properties and activate the Summary tab. If you enter text in the Comments box, it will also be displayed in the Comments column of Windows Explorer/My Computer, if that column is displayed.
    You can specify whether the Comments column is displayed by selecting View | Select Details... and ticking or clearing the Comments text box.

    Hans;
    Thanks for your response. I find the summary tab for files, but not for the devices, such as DVD or hard disk, that show up either by hitting "My Computer" or at the top of the folder list in Explorer. Does that mean comments are not available for devices?

    As far as I know, you can only create comments for files, not for folders or disks.
