    strange behaviour (Access 2000)

    I very strange behaviour.If i define the path in the ShellWait code, then the code works.If i define it with the path "appath", then nothing happens.No error but nothing happens.Does anybody know why ?
    Dim appath As String
    appath = "C:BEDepotVa.mdb"
    1. 'ShellWait """C:Program FilesWinZipWZUnzip.exe"" -o C:BEDepotsDepotVa.zip C:BE"
    2. ShellWait """C:Program FilesWinZipWZUnzip.exe"" -o appath C:BE"

    You must put the variable outside the quotes:
    <code>
    ShellWait """C:Program FilesWinZipWZUnzip.exe"" -o " & appath & " C:BE"
    </code>
    The command string is assembled from three parts by the concatenation operators &:
    <code>
    <font color=448800>"""C:Program FilesWinZipWZUnzip.exe"" -o "</font color=448800> & <font color=red>appath</font color=red> & <font color=blue>" C:BE"</font color=blue></code>
