Syncronising records on sub forms (2000/XP)

I've been using the suggestions in <post:=275,590>post 275,590</post:> (how do I link to the thread?).

Similar problem to the original poster. I have two subform (in this db each is on a separate page of a tab control) on a main form. Effectively they each contain different fields from the same table.

The 'good reason' for them being separate is one of space and I am stuck with them.

I only want to allow the user to navigate on the first subform (synchronising the second) - it doesn't need to work both ways.

When the main form opens the second is 'not ready' so the code doesn't run - I can live with that for now. When I then move to the next record, the OnCurrent code runs for the first subform with no errors but when I look at the second subform it hasn't moved.

Does something need a refresh/requery? Tried various alternatives and but the form doesn't appear to move.

Why not put the tab control in a subform - you'd need only one subform then.

Re: Syncronising records on sub forms (2000/XP)

I have a form containing summary data, below which is a tab control.
The tab control has 4 pages, pages 1 and 2 contain other data from the main table, 3 and 4 contain data from a related table, split into 2 sub forms (one on each tab page).
I could move the related data to a subform with a 2 page tab control (split the data across the 2 pages) and then put this on a page of the main tab control.
The problem is there just isn't room. I have explicitly been asked to ensure the form has no vertical scroll bars <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15>

Have just discovered it really helps if I remember to use FindFirst before setting the bookmark <img src=/S/dizzy.gif border=0 alt=dizzy width=15 height=15>

Glad you found a solution. I was posting a reply to your previous post when my Internet connection went down, so it was lost.
