border size/css

    Attached is a part screen shot of a website I am developing. The top blue bar is the primary navbar and the righthand blue band is a background image inside a
tag. The white square in that righthand block is an image holder.

    You will note that there is a white border around the image that I do not want but I cannot seem to get rid of it. Below you will see the CSS definition for the bar and you can see that I have tried to set the border to 0px to no avail. I cannot set a border colour as the image is a gradient fill from #000048 to #FFFFFF. Any ideas how I can get rid of this white border?

#rightnav {

    margin-top: 0px
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    float:right;
    width: 160px;
    height:850px;
    background-image: url(../images/rightpanel.jpg);
    border:0px;

    }

    Right panic over...this is what happens when you work on something at midnight. It is nothing to do with my coding, it was because I had put a white border on the graphic

    to myself....check the simple things first

    It now works great.

     I'm glad it's not just me

    I noticed by the way that you were using "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" - knowing how you love Latin, you might like to try this instead - a complete history of "Lorem Ipsum" plus your very own Lorem Ipsum generator .

     I thought it was going to be one of your extensions that you created

    I'm not that (not yet, anyway. One day I'll accumilate all knowledge and take over the world )
