    Alphabetizing (2000-SR1)

In a report, I have a text box with concatenated fields as follows:

    =[StudentLN] & ", " & [StudentFN] & " " & [StudentMI]

How can I have the report sort: first, by last name, then by first name? (The query from which the data is derived is already sorting that way...)

    For example,
    Jones, Robert
    Smith, Alice
    Smith, Robert

    etc.

Reports ignore the sort order of their record source. You must specify the sort order in the Sorting and Grouping window.
Enter or select StudentLN in the first row of the Sorting and Grouping window, and StudentFN in the second row. The sort order will be ascending by default.
