Returning from standy mode (XP Pro SP2)

    Hi,

Whenever I reopen the lid on my laptop -- closing the lid puts the computer into standby mode -- instead of returning immediately to the screen I left, a light blue Windows screen appears that says, "To begin, click your user name." I then click my name (underneath which a line says "[X] programs running").

Is there a way I can avoid this screen, so that when I return from standby, the screen I last left will immediately reappear?

    Thanks a lot.

Any time. Personally, I'd like to permanently disable the welcome screen!
