    Mail merging checkbox into word (2000)

    I am having trouble finding any refernces to how I can take a checkbox from the Access database and transfer the checkmark on to a Word document in a mail merge.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Try this in the Word document.
    - Place the insertion point where you want the check box.
    - Press F9 to insert field brackets { } (you shouldn't type the brackets yourself, they won't work).
    - Type IF followed by a space.
    - Insert the Yes/No merge field, either from the Mail Merge toolbar, or by pressing Ctrl+ F9 again and typing the merge field name between the brackets.
    - Type =1 after the merge field, then a space and a double quote ".
    - Select Insert | Symbol.
    - Select the Wingdings font and click one of the checked box characters (they are near the end), then click Insert.
    - Type a double quote, a space and a double quote after the check box.
    - If you closed the Symbol dialog, reopen it.
    - Click an unchecked box character, then click Insert.
    - Close the Symbol dialog.
    - Type a double quote.
    - Your field should now look like this:

    { IF { MERGEFIELD FieldName } = 1 "x" "o" }

    where x represents the checked box, and o represents the unchecked box.
    - Press F9 to hide field codes and update the field.
