    Closing a window (6.0.2800.11061S)

I am running Windows 98 SE. Recently Internet Explorer has developed an annoying habit. Whenever I close a window using the X at top right I get an error message saying Explorer has made an unforgivable error (or words to that effect) and that it must close. I then lose all Explorer windows and I have to start over from scratch. Can I correct this behaviour?

Stop using the X at the top right to close windows in Internet Explorer. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

Seriously though, this sounds like one of those problems that will be more difficult to sort out than to just get out the hammer and knock things back into shape. I'm talking about a "virtual" hammer in the form of an "over-the-top" installation of Windows 98.
