    update links (Excel 2003)

    Good morning

I have copied some information from one workbook to another, now when I open the new workbook I get an 'update link' message which I do not want to do, is there a way to permanantly disassociate the 2 workbooks? I tried searching in Excel using the keywords 'update links' but there did not seem to be any relevant answers.

    Thank you

    Danny

Select Edit | Links... in the workbook that contains the links to the first one.
    Select all links.
    Click 'Break Links' and confirm.
    Finally click Close.
