    I presume you are working in a document that is already in XML format. Highlight the content you want to apply a tag to. Then in the XML Structure pane, choose an element you want to apply to the selection. If you want to specify an attribute for that element, you also do that in the XML Structue pane. To give you more specific help, we will need to see the document and more info about the custom XML tag you want to create.

    Wendell, thanks for the reply, but NO, document is not XML. I simply want to XML tag items in an MSWord document with custom tags.
    I found what I needed. It's the Word2003 XML Toolbox from Microsoft.
