Converting time total to decimal (2002)

Every month my staff insist I pay them, and those who are hourly paid, use a swipe system that gives me a report for each day's hours worked.
This I import into Excel, do a sum of the month's hours, and end up with a total of hours and minutes.
So far, so good.
However, when it comes to entering their hours into the payroll system, I need to enter the hours worked in decimals, and having a formula that would convert the minutes in the total into a decimal figure would be very convenient.
In the attached example, I want to display the decimal equivalent of 116:19 (the total of the column above and formatted [h]:mm) and show it as 116.32 in cell N21.
Could some kind soul assist, please? - such manipulation of dates and times are beyond my ken.

Use this formula in N21:
=L21*24
If Excel formats it as a time, use Format | Cells to change the format to a number format.

Explanation: times are stored internally as a fraction of 1 day: 6 hours = 0.25, 12 hours = 0.5 etc. To obtain the actual number of hours, multiply with 24 (the number of hours in a day).
