retrieve user account (win xp sp2)

I added a user account to win xp with administrator priviledges. There was only the administrator account on the computer. When I went to delete it, I wasn't given the delete option. I logged off, rebooted, and the original user account (with admin priveledges) was gone. Is there any way to retrieve it and all the user settings that go along with it?

You can not delete the default built-in Administrator account: this is by design.
If you deleted any user account, even with Administrative rights, all the settings are gone. You can retrieve some files from Documents and Settings< Account name > folder.
