Filtering for duplicate records in a list (Excel 2000 >)
Here is a handy way to extract duplicate records in a list in Excel. Using a function to filter for counts of greater than 1 for each column will extract a list of duplicate records.
See the attachment for an example.
The function can also be modified to extract duplicate records greater than 2... if you adjust the value in the formula. Alternatively, you can run a filter using ONLY one of the column criteria to extract duplicates for only that column too.
Once the data is extracted, you can use it as if its the only data on the sheet. This is typical of excel filtered data. It has a WYSIWYG effect. So you can chart it, delete it, copy it, etc as you need!Regards,
