Comment Field for the blind (Word 97/ SR2)
I'm creating a document and want to put comments in to remind me to get back to certain things. Easy enough, however whenever I highlight a word or phrase then choose insert comment, the comment pane that pops up sets to 175% zoom. My document stays the same and even my initials indicating there is a comment in the text is all at 100% it's only everything in that comment pane. I can simply play with the zoom drop-down to set it back to 100% but once I close the comment pane and insert another comment everything in that pane blows up again.
Anyone want to take a stab at why this happens and how to correct it? I created the template and have never had a problem with it until today. <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

Re: Comment Field for the blind (Word 97/ SR2)
This is a general approach I take for annoying "commands" in Word97SR2/VBA that do things by numbers, such as setting the zoom to 175:
I repeat the offending action while recording a macro, then I pore over the entrails. I often find the quantitative problems right there in the macro.
Then i see other stuff and realise that *I* can do better than that, and end up with a lovely utility macro that does what i really want, without any side effects.
Try recording a macro of what you're doing, then inspecting the code; if nothing else it might confirm where the problem lies, and don't we have to know the problem before we can find a solution? (Except for web site designers, of course).
