No macros in Excel 12? (Office 12)

One of my colleagues claim that there will be no macros (as we know them today) in the next version of Microsoft Excel. I don't know where he has heard that, but it is not true, is it? <img src=/S/brainwash.gif border=0 alt=brainwash width=15 height=15>

Yes and no: Office 12 documents can come in several formats
    1. <LI>The old .doc, .xls etc.
<LI>A new XML format .docm, .xlsm etc.
<LI>A new XML format .docx, .xlsx etc.
    1. and 2. will support VBA code (macros), 3. won't. See Office 12 XML Formats will support VBA (just not the default formats).
