You don't mention what version of Office 2000. However, have you tried running Detect and Repair?

It's Office 2000. And, YES, I've run Detect & Repair many times. Am I the only one who has problems with Open Office Document or New Office Document? I must start the program associated with the file before I can open the document. I've also checked on the Knowledge Base and the Readme file for the Office Toolkit. Doesn't respond to this problem. Thanks for your help!!!

Oops! Do you mean Office 2000 SR-1a (not SR-2 because of the Outlook attachment security "fix"!).

I'm sorry -- Like you, I've searched the Lounge and TechNet for issues involving OSA9.exe and come up with nothing like what you're describing. Since you sound pretty experienced, I presume you've already tried uninstalling the toolbar and reinstalling it. That's about all I can answer. I have to admit, it's a feature I haven't used since Win98 and the Quick Launch bar. <img src=/S/blush.gif border=0 alt=blush width=15 height=15>

Good luck, and I hope someone else is able to come to your rescue.
