Shrimp

This is the best cooked shrimp (prawns) recipe I have ever tasted! Came from a grillers cookbook.
Hilton Head shrimp
1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper (or to taste)
Juice of one lemon
2 tbsps. Sherry or white wine
1/4 tsp. curry powder
1 tbs. parsley
1 lb. large shrimp, peeled
Melt butter in a skillet, add next seven ingredidents. Heat a few minutes, then add shrimp. Saute about 5 minutes on each side, or until nice and pink.
Serve as an appetizer, or as I do with a nice loaf of bread for dipping in the sauce, and pasta w/ tomato basil sauce.

Yum, sounds good. You could add a finely chopped clove of garlic.

Gosh, this sounds so much better then my usual way to prepare shrimp - boiling them in chicken flavored broth with celery salt added. Thanks for sharing!

If you like mushrooms, try this one: Sherry Prawns. The curry powder and cayenne pepper might make a nice addition.
