    Command line version of WhatIsMyIP

There are lots of websites which will tell you what your external IP address is, such as http://whatismyip.com, but I haven't been able to find a program which i can run in a Command Prompt window to write the IP address to the screen.

    Any suggestions, please? Thanks!

You might try this, it says "this one automatically detects all of your installed network adapters and displays it as a list along with its currently-assigned IP"
    IPSwap

Or even this one Network Interfaces

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Thanks, Dave, but these both appear to be Yahoo! Widgets. I wish to avoid Yahoo! Anything!! And wouldn't know how to run it/them as a command-line program, anyway...

Perhaps I should also have emphasised the word external in "external IP address".

Later... Following a LOT of playing around, I find to my surprise that I can get the required result from PING by sticking "MAIL." in front of my website name and doing PING mail.website.org.uk. Who'd have thought it!
