    Lost System Tools

I was helping a friend who has WIN ME. We wanted to run SCANDISK and DEFRAG. I went to Accessories expecting to find them listed under System Tools. There was no listing for System Tools in Accessories. How do I get it back?

    Just a guess as I'm on W2K.
Open up 'My Computer', Right_Mouse the selected drive, then Properties | Tools.

Me hides stuff in drop-down menus that you haven't used recently. There should be a double arrowhead at the bottom of the menu - click to expand/ hold cursor over it. That should reveal what you're looking for.

Ah, yes - the dreaded Personalized Menus.
If that is it., you can select whether or not to use the it on theTaskBar and Start Menu Properties setup window.

Fastest way to find them is to right click on drive,
    choose properties, tools
    scandisk is "error-checking status"
    defrag is "defragmentation status"

    so where did "backup" go?
I tried msbackup.exe from Win98 and it works with Me.
