    Gradient Fills (Excel 2002 SP2)

I was just reading this tip on John John Walkenbach's site, and what really caught my eye was the fact that gradient fill is the same for all data points. In other words, the yellow gradient is between 5 and 6.5 , red starts at 8, etc. for all data points.
This is something I'd like to do and I had assumed was impossible.
So let me expand on how it was done. When drawing the autoshape make sure it is the same size as the largest data point. After pasting the autoshape into the data series, go to the Format Data Series, Fill Effects, Picture and change the option to Stack. This ensures that all data points will use the same gradient scale.

    Nifty!
