DMax Doesn't Respond to AfterUpdate Event? (2003)

When I input data in the any of the enabled text boxes of the "Copia di Prev" form in the attached mdb after selecting, e.g., 19 January 2006 in the startup form, the AfterUpdate event for the text box calls the EnerOm2 function passing it the maximum value of the text box control source but why doesn't the DMax function include the value just typed in the text box since the event occurs AFTER the update? This causes the EnerOm2 function to calculate the wrong energy value.

Because the record hasn't been saved yet. DMax gets its values from the stored version of the table. When the After Update event of a text box occurs, the value of the text box has been updated, but the record as a whole hasn't been saved yet. This occurs when you move to another record, or close the form, or save the record explicitly using RunCommand acCmdSaveRecord.
