Microsoft Outlook

Quick Question:
One of my friends uses Microsoft Outlook 97 and gets an error message when he tries to start it.
It says something like (I do not know the EXACT message)
"The file OUTLLIB.DLL is linked to an missing exportation MAPI32.DLL"
He can't start outlook.
Anyone has any ideas as how to fix this problem short of reinstalling ?

Way back in 1997 I recall an acquaintance had the same/similar problem and if my memory serves me correctly, I made a copy from my computer as I was running office 97 at the time. Renamed the old one on his machine and copied mine onto his and rebooted. The problem went away.
