    SharePoint and iqy (2000)

I am working with SharePoint 2003. Using Office 2003 I can export data from a list into a spreadsheet. The export creates an iqy file. I can then post that iqy file in a document library. Is there anyway that I can open that iqy file (created in SharePoint 2003) using Excel 2000? We have users that do not have office 2003 and I am looking for a workaround for them to able to get list data into a spreadsheet.

Excel 2000 should be able to open .iqy files: Data | Get External Data | Run Saved Query...

They can, but when the iqy is generated from SharePoint 2003, I think there is some XML that isn't compatible with 2000 standard (for the same reason you can export directly to Excel 2000).
