Get Pixel Size In Code? (VB6)

I'm beginning to conclude that there is no ready way to obtain the pixel dimensions of images, say, 120x90 and upwards, using code - not even in .NET. <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15> - yet the Shell seems able to derive & display them. Where would it seem that I have not been looking? <img src=/S/doh.gif border=0 alt=doh width=15 height=15>
    Grüße
