    Building design software

    Good morning

I am going to build an extension to my house and I wondered if anybody new of any freeware or trialware, preferably 3d, which I can use to move windows, doors, patio doors etc. around to see how they will look, as the extension will be 24 x 17 feet and would like to get a feel of the look before I take a charge at the building of it. I have googled but could not turn up anything that seemed to fit the bill.

    Thanks

    Steve
    Cheers

IKEA has a free kitchen planner tool. It's obviously geared towards designing IKEA kitchens, but it can be used for other purposes with a bit of fantasy.

See the thread starting at <post:=467,292>post 467,292</post:> for some other options (I haven't checked whether all applications mentioned there are still available).
