    Date Format/Display (Excel 2K)

I know this answer should be easy, but.......How do I type in a date on the keypad WITHOUT the slashes (021006) and have it display with the slashes (02/10/06)???? I have played with the number formatting, special and custom, and can't for the life of me figure it out..Please help!

This is not as easy as you would think, see the following articles.

Thanks for the reference. Guess I'll just have to use the seperators. Oh well..

<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by kiazd on 10-Feb-06 22:02. Decided to test the code.)</P>IF you want some code that can do this vist cpearson.com/excel/DateTimeEntry.htm. He has two peices of code for dates and time that are great. Haven't played with the date one that much, but the time one is excellent for inserting time such as 1630 to get 16:30

Just tested the date one. Works fine and you can format your column of dates the way you want.
