    MakeTable function (Access 2000)

    May I ask for help with the following make table function:
    Dim sql As String
    sql = " Select Houses.HouseID,Houses.Price into Housestemp From Houses WHERE HousesTemp.HouseID = Houses.HouseID"
    CurrentDb.Execute sql
    End Function
    The above function does not function.I want to create a new table called HousesTemp out of the table Houses.The table HousesTemo contains 2 fields;HouseID and Price.

    Obviously, if you want to create a new table HousesTemp, you cannot have a condition

    WHERE HousesTemp.HouseID = ...

    for HousesTemp doesn't exist yet! I suggest that you create the Make Table query in design view, test that it works correctly, then switch to SQL view to see the SQL string created by Access.
