    British Pound Sign (03)

How does one insert the British pound sign into a word document?

    Thanks,

    Insert | Symbol...
Select the top item (normal text) in the font dropdown list.
Locate the Pound Sterling symbol and click Insert.
You'll see that you can also type Alt+0163 (use the Numeric keypad with NumLock on).
A third method is: type A3 then press Alt+X.

Bye-the-way can it be done in Outlook?

Alt+0163 (on the numeric keypad) will work in Outlook too.
