    cannot view shared folder (OL2K)

A user has shared their mailbox. Delegate set right, permission look right, etc. The delegate can open their mailbox and view inbox and calendar but cannot see the contact list. A view comes up saying their are no entries. Oddly enough, she can view a contact subfolder. I have given myself access rights to just the contact list but get the same results when I try to open it. Any clues?

    Thank you.

You might check the properties of the owner's folder to see if it checked as visible. You're not getting the normal error for this, but it's worth a look-see.

are the contacts marked private? normally, the status bar will say how many are private though.

The status bar doesn't say anything about private, but you are right, they are all marked private. Is there someway to unmark them all at once without having to open every contact? Is the private flag set somewhere to default? When I open new contact the private box is not checked. But when I save the new contact, it becomes private.

    Thanks for the pointer.

Found it myself poking around MSKB. Make Global changes to contacts see Q197268 - OL2000 and the problem happens in the first place because of Small Business Contact Manager, see Q241846.

Thanks for pointing me to the Private issue
