Installing IIS after SP2 (Winxp sp2)

I cannot install IIS now that I have been a good boy and used Windows update to apply SP2 to my WINXP.
Apparently it needs the SP2 cd to fix this problem (won't copy various dlls etc) The Microsoft KB article is useless without this CD.
Has anyone found a way to do this?

I don't know much about IIS, but I suppose you should have downloaded the complete SP2 (same as the one on SP2 CD).

If you take a look at: Changes to Functionality in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 and its part 7 (Other Technologies), there is a section about Internet Information Services, that mention differences if you install XP with SP2 or if you upgrade to SP2 and then install IIS, but maybe you already know these differences.

You need to slipstream (integrate) SP-2 with your original XP CD. then you'll be able to install IIS. Search the lounge for slipstream. That will get you some links such as <post:=402,949>post 402,949</post:>.

Thanks, my problem is solved now. I downloaded the complete SP2 and slipstreamed a new Winxp cd, repaired the group policy file and so on. You wouldn't think it would be so involved.
