Rule to copy e-mail as a .msg to a network drive? (2000 SP-3)

I've got a template people are using to request project approval from a supervisor. We've got a rule on the supervisor's out box to send a copy of the approval to an Outlook group folder. However, I'd like to be able to send a copy as a (*.msg) message format to a network drive automatically. Can this be done with the "perform a custom action" in the rules wizard? Not sure how to do something like this.

A Custom Action requires a compiled COM object (written in C++). For Outlook 2000, review the utilities in http://www.slipstick.com/addins/housekeeping.htm.

(If you had Outlook 2002 or higher you could use the "Run a script' option, and modify the example VBA code <!post=here,287154>here<!/post>, and use related instructions on setting the Rule <!post=here,539084>here<!/post>. If you had Outlook 2002 or higher.)
