Reinstall - Keep Settings (2003 SP2)
Looks like I'm going to have to perform a scorched earth re-install of Win XP, i.e., reformat the disk and perform a reinstall. I've backed my entire <..Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook>. What installation sequence should I use to return Outlook to as close as possible to when I last closed it?
I have performed this in the past and one frustrating thing I seem to remember is that I had to start Outlook and perform the account set-up process before it would recognize any of the Outlook setup files I copied into the new <..Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlook> directory. Then when I started Outlook, it retrieved mail from months before.
