    Outlook to Access (Access 2000)

    Hello All,
Im sure this has been asked before, but I my search didnt find exaclty what I was looking for, so I ask hoping to not offend anyone.

I would like to be able to take a contact from a shared Outlook Contact address book and import into an Acess database I created to hold our Company Contact information. Does anyone know any sample code or a way that I can do this? Is it even possible? Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

Check out the Outlook >> Access section of Code Samples on Helen Feddema's site.

    Thanks Hans,

When I try to get the code samples I get a Page Cannot be Displayed message. Is there another site I can view the code from?

Unfortunately, the downloads from that site frequently don't work - perhaps she exceeded her bandwidth limit. But after a while, they always become available again.

If you explain in more detail what you want to accomplish, perhaps someone can assist. For example: do you want to import the currently selected contact, or ...?

ahh ok. How long is awhile?

What I would like to do is export the currently selected contact in the Outlook contacts to a table in my Access database. The Outlook contacts address book is shared by all users and is locted in a public folder on the server. We use Server 2003. We have SMTP mail hosted outside the company and have MS Exchange server on our server as well.
I would like to only be able to export 1 contact at a time from Outlook to Access, as Im trying to force the users to maintain address changes ect. of the contacts in one place only (Access).

    Hope this is understandable.

I don't know. Just try again every day or so.

Your description looks clear to me, but I don't know enough about Outlook VBA to help.
