change font shadow color (Publisher 2003 SP2)

I'm working on a tri-fold brochure for a client who wants a goodly amount of text printed in white with a black shadow (too much to use WordArt). I cannot change the color of the text shadow to black. Going to Format | Font | Shadow produces a gray shadow behind the text. Using the Shadow Style button produces a shadow for the Text Box.
    Can anyone help?

As far as I know, you cannot change the shadow color.

You could create a text box with black text, then make a copy of it, change the text color to white and position it with a slight offset over the first one. This will give the impression of text with a shadow.

    Thanks for replying, Hans.
Yes, I've tried that; also tried using WordArt. When I agreed to do this, I didn't realize changing the shadow color would be impossible. I was thinking of changing the Shadow Style color...no problem there.
