    Windows messenger (WinXP-SP2)

    Hi,

I've got multiple hotmail accounts with a passport for each. Whenever I launch the windows messenger it always signs in with the same userID.
.. and from the menus I can't find anywhere to switch between the ID's.

Got one hotmail account for surfing, another for golf.
These to interests are separate and I would like to keep them apart.

Does anyone know whether switching of ID's is possible?

Try logging out and then type in the different passport account name and password.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks, but that's exactly what I expected would be the solution - but it doesn't seem to work - thus my question.
Think it would apply to MSN messenger. But Windows messenger seems to act differently. Do you know if they work differently in terms of login processes?

My reply is for a Windows Messenger login, I do NOT have MSN installed on my machines.

Do you have passport accounts for each of your Hotmail accounts?

    Hi Dave,

I don't have MSN messenger installed either.
Passports - only for the "master" account. That is 1 hotmail with passport and 3 without.

It's the passport one that always logs in first.

Tried to look at advanced properties, but the only option of other users are related to my windows account.
This means that I would have to login in as a totally different user as well - which is not what I want.

It's only at application level that I want to be able to swap user - similar to what can be done in hotmail.
I would expect it to be possible, since it took my hotmail ID and used as default when I installed it.

Are you saying that you can't logon using the alternate hotmail accounts? If you look at the Windows Messenger help it states that you must have a passport account to logon.
