    Smart Tag security (2003)

Is there some sort of Smart Tag security especially if MOTFL is used such as encryption being used? I know if Smart tags are implemented as code then the Smart tags will be secure.

    What's MOTFL??

From the perspective of an Office application, a Smart Tag plug-in is like a macro or global template. If you allow Smart Tags to be applied to your documents, then this is what happens in Office XP with various macro security settings, according to an article on MSDN:

It sounds as though Office 2003 is similar: Microsoft Office 2003 Security White Paper

    Does that help?
