    Decompress files on web server

Is there a way of running the decompress part of a file compression utility on a remote ASP.NET 2 web server? I have to renew a lot of data, every night, and the only practical way of getting the data onto the server is in compressed form. In the old days I would have tried to run something like pkunzip from a batch file, but I'm not sure how to, or even if I am allowed to, run executables/batch files on someone elses web server. I'm not sure that PKUnzip still exists either.

Is there anything within ASP.NET 2 that does this kind of thing? They seem to have solved or simplified so many of the problems that faced classic asp development that my expectations are high.

    Thanks

This appears to be built into the framework. See the System.IO.Compression namespace.
