ISERROR ?? (Excel 2002)

Hi

I am struggling with this formula any ideas please, if I enter it in the cell it appears to be text and not a formula sgptotal and sgpcheck are Named ranges

=IF(ISERROR(sgptotal<sgpcheck,"Below Target","On Target"),"",sgptotal<sgpcheck,"Below Target","On Target")

The formula doesn't make sense: ISERROR has only one argument, not three, and IF has three arguments, not five. I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to accomplish, perhaps the following will do what you want:

=IF(ISERROR(sgptotal<sgpcheck),"",IF(sgptotal<sgpc heck,"Below Target","On Target"))
</code>
If it is still displayed as text, make sure that the cell containing the formula is not formatted as Text in the Number tab of Format | Cells...

What I was trying to achieve was to remove #DIV/0 as these cells are reliant on other data entered elswhere.

Your formula works perfectly, thanks very much I take note that ISERROR only has one argument.
