Reply to several emails at once (WinXP OL2002)

I have had several emails back from people responding to an email of mine. I now want to send the same email to all of them, but cant just select the emails and click a button that 'reply to all' in one go. I can do this in contacts, but not all the responders are in my contacts folder. Is there a way to select several emails, with varying subject lines, and send the same email to all of them? Many thanks if you can help

No, as far as I know that is not possible. A reply is always to a specific e-mail.

You could compose the text for a reply, then copy & paste that into a reply to each individual e-mail.

You may be able to do something along the lines of:

Create a new sub-folder and move the messages you want to reply to into it
Create a template that will contain your common reply
Create a rule that will reply to all(?) messages with a specific template (the one you just created) but do not enable it
From the rules wizard, use 'Run now' to run the new rule on messages only within the new folder.

But it may be quicker and simpler to use Hans' idea.

Thanks for these replies. I am trying to avoid having to do all the work myself, so if I can I will use Leif's idea but automate it somehow. I shall be doing this more that once, on different sets of emails needed a common reply, so it may be worthwhile trying to use VBA. I'll think about it and post again

One of the options in the Rules Wizard is to reply to selected incoming messages using a particular template. However, I suspect that wouldn't give you the opportunity to customize your response... it's intended more for auto-responses, I believe.
