    Graphics in Access 2007 (2002)

I have heard that the next version of Access in Office 2007 will have the ability to handle graphics (without bloat). Can anyone confirm this or add more info?
    Regards,
    Peter

I don't know the answer, but see A discussion of what's new in Access 12.

Once again that encyclopaedic mind comes up with a way to find the answer. Thanks Hans. From that reference to Erik Ruker's blog you gave, it does look as though Access will finally be able to handle images without bloat This is soooooo overdue its comical.
To quote from the blog by Erik Ruker a 'Microsoft Access - Group Program Manager' working at Redmond (I assume Microsoft)

Access 12 will have:- "Modern image support - use png, gif, jpg, etc without database bloat and maintain transparency."
Cute use of the word 'Modern' eh?

Hooray! As we say in Aus; about b____y time! Access finally, belatedly catches up with the rest of the world.
Imagine, finally being able to have pictures of contacts in conact lists without the DB bloating to gross MBs.
    Regards,
    Peter
