SendMail will send the entire workbook as an attachment. Is that really what you want? I'd say you'd only need to send a short text as message.

Note: why don't you have Option Explicit at the top of the module? <img src=/S/cranky.gif border=0 alt=cranky width=18 height=25>

The code is the clients...I did not touch it!!! (But tx for the reminder! lol)

I guess a text msg is good yes...its just a reminder. If this is the case...what would you suggest to get this to work?

I don't understand the structure of the worksheet. Care to explain?

Re: 2 week email notice of off-day! (Excel 2000>)

The structure can be changed if needed....its the clients design. What they would like is a macro to send an email to the recipients listed in the sheet 2 weeks in advance. The macro will be triggered every friday by the client. If the lookup date is found to be 2 weeks in adv of the current date, the matching recipients must be mailed automatically.

    Hope this is clear?

In order to change the structure, I would need to understand it... <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>

OK...I'll email the client and ask for a proper explanation of the sheet....I will post back when I have an answer!

Re: 2 week email notice of off-day! (Excel 2000>)

    Hi,
I am still waiting for the persons response, but (ignoring the layout for now), could I ask you in the mean time how to send a message reminder to outlook from excel. Say a cell in excel (A1) equals a certain value (for example the value : 100), when i open the workbook, (and that cell equals 100), how can I code in the workbook to send an email to the person whos email address appears in another cell (say B1)?

    Any ideas..

    TIA
    Regards,
    Rudi

You can use Automation to control Outlook from Excel. See for example <post:=224,784>post 224,784</post:>.
You'll bump into Outlook security - it'll put up annoying messages each time you try to send e-mail from code. See <post#=488,173>post 488,173</post#> for possible solutions.
