Adding Totals to a stack chart (Excel 2000>)

    Hi,
I have tweeked a way to get totals on this stacked chart. I added the total series, and his the series on the chart and added datalabels. Is there a better way to do this, or a way that will not distort the chart axes values if the totals get too big??

    See attached!
    Regards,
    Rudi

An alternative would be to add a dummy series, make it transparent, and add the totals as data labels for this series using Rob Bovey's XY Chart Labeler. See attached version.

Ahh, tx. I see this does not distort the chart so much then. I was considering just modifying the Y-axis values by turning off the auto feature and setting a fixted max value, but if a chart is volatile and the values change often...this is not a great idea. Tx yours will work well!
