Files copied on CD (Windows XP)

I need help bad! I've been copying big files on the same CD and now because the CD is full to capacity, I can't open my CD to see or click on any of my files. Have I lost everything? If there is a way to access my files please let me know. Thank you.

Re: Files copied on CD (Windows XP)

Can you elaborate on what happens when you try to view the contents of the CD? Also, how did you put the files there to begin with - using Windows' built-in CD burning feature, or other software?

Re: Files copied on CD (Windows XP)

Hi, my problem is solved and I don't understand how it happened. I did use Window built-in CD burning feature. When I tried to open my CD to see my files, it would not open and show me the files. I tried every way I could think of to get in and read it and finally I got it. I know the CD was full by checking the System but how come I wasn't advised that the CD was full and could not take any more files apparently the System is supposed to advise us. When I finally could read it, I copied my files back to my hard drive and did another burning job by splitting it between 2 CDs to make sure I wouldn't have the same problem again. Thanks a lot for posting a reply.
