    Expressions (2000/2003)

    Hi All,
I have a question about Expressions. I have been trying to move Field A Tag to Field B from an Event. I know i can use VBA, was just wondering if it can be done with an Expression. I have tried doing the following on a Got Focus Event: =[FieldA] = [FieldB].Tag. It did not work. So does anyone know if there is any Expression that would work? Is there another way to format this action?

Sorry, but you can't do it like that. You could set the expression to a custom function that would perform the action you want, and in some cases you could use a macro name, but not to set the tag of a field.

    Charlotte,
Thank You. Sorry I took so long, but it hit the fan the other day, and I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. And I can tell you after seeing chickens like that as a young lad, many many moons ago. It is not a pretty sight. Once again thanks, I just hope it could work so I could cut some coding.
