    Charts & snapshot (Access 97)

Does anyone know why when you save a report chart as .snp the text inside of the chart does not appear? I thought the object of snapshot was to save the report exactly as it appears. I have been using it for reports for some time now and it has always worked fine.
I have to e-mail the chart and I really do not want to have to create it in excel and link it back to access.

    Thanks

I haven't tried this, and I generally avoid charts in reports if I can because it's such a pain to make them work the way I want them to. I suspect the problem is that Microsoft Graph is a separate applet and not actually part of Access. The snapshot viewer handles static graphics OK, but it may choke on MS Graph.

I don't know why that is happening but I get much better results saving reports as .pdf files, especially when there are graphics or charts. If you have Abobe Acrobat, I would recommend printing the report to the PDF Writer instead.
