    Combo Box (Access2002)

    I have a form with numerous combo boxes; I would like to know how to have a combo box automatically list the values once the combo box gets the focus?

    Do you mean that you want the list to drop down? Say you have a combo box named cboNames. Create the following event procedure for the On Got Focus event of cboNames:

    Private Sub cboNames_GotFocus()
    Me.cboNames.DropDown
    End Sub

    Worked perfectly; now that the combo box list drops down automatically; I would love to save space on my form by eliminating the arrow on the combo box; how can you turn this display off? Thanks very much. Should have used this method many years ago.

    You cannot turn off the arrow (besides, I like the visual indication that there is a dropdown list). You can cover it with a non-transparent rectangle (box) control, but the arrow will become visible when the combo box receives the focus.
